Derek Sitter is an accomplished actor, writer, director, and producer from McAlester, Oklahoma, with over thirty years of experience in theatre, film, and TV. A graduate with an M.F.A. in Acting from Louisiana State University, Derek is a Life Member of The Actor’s Studio and has been a member of SAG/AFTRA since 1995. Throughout his career, he has worked extensively across all media, including theatre, film, and TV, before founding his own theatre and actor’s studio at Volcanic Theatre Pub in Bend, Oregon, in 2012. Derek also owns Smoking Mirror Productions/Born Into This Films, where he continues to focus on writing, directing, and acting for both stage and screen.

His film projects, Tutu Grande and Bugtussle, have garnered significant recognition in the festival circuit, collecting over one hundred awards for various aspects of filmmaking, including acting, writing, cinematography, and music.
